disable Google Workspace smart features

Google Workspace smart features enable AI features across multiple Google apps, such as Keep, Drive, Gmail, etc.

1. go to Google Chat (this is the easiest page to access the settings from)

2. open Settings

3. go to Data privacy

4. press Manage settings

5. toggle Smart features in Google Workspace to off

6. toggle Smart features in other Google products to off

note: an alternative way to access these settings is through Google Drive settings > Privacy > Manage Workspace smart feature settings

detect AI slop

to know whether a video has generated AI content in it, look for the ⓘ AI badge underneath the video

block AI content

take a look at content blockers to filter out AI content on a desktop computer.

Android

if you are on an Android phone, you can use the app Morphe to modify your YouTube app to remove certain features like ads and unwanted layout elements.

2. open Settings (cogwheel at the bottom of the screen)

3. press Channel

4. go to Advanced settings

5. scroll down and toggle Allow third-party companies to train AI models using my channel content to off
